The Story

The Mexican revolution provides the colourful and dramatic background to this stirring tale of heroism.  George Peppard stars as Rod Douglas, a US Army Captain who is assigned the "suicidal" mission of subduing the vicious bandit Cordoba.  Cordoba, whose most recent raid has resulted in the capture of General Peshing's artillery and Pershing wants them back.  With a ramshackle task force consisting of guardhouse riff-raff and army misfits, Captain Douglas crosses the border to face a fierce and bloody battle for the sake of a cannon.

Dramatic Scenes

Nothing of the sort we've seen in some of Pete's other appearances.

Other Notable Scenes/Things to Watch For

I really don't think it's supposed to be, but the sight of Andy Rice riding into battle and even firing his rifle with a guitar strapped to his back is extremely funny.  There is also a scene where Andy Rice dives headfirst out of a window mid conversation - to catch a prowler I think!

Difficult Scenes to Watch

There is one short scene which some fans find very upsetting where Pete is seen holding a gun to his head.

Is it worth getting?
(my opinion only!)

Well ..... he does look very good - his hair is very long but, unfortunately so are the sideburns!  He doesn't have that much screen-time though and personally, the story doesn't interest me at all.  But on the other hand, it completes the collection and though it's not the best, it's not the worst either!
